It’s Saturday, 7:15a. It appears I’ve lost the ability to sleep in. Yesterday, I was wide awake at 5:45a, today I was wide awake at 6:15a. I wonder what it is? Perhaps age? I hope not. So I lay here, close my eyes, and try to let sleep take over again, but she will not come. She has already bid me adieu for the day. Good thing I have my phone to fiddle with.

Today’s commute in was beautiful. I left home at 6:30, it was a bit dark as the sun was just finishing its rise into the sky. The sihouette of Downtown LA had a backdrop of vibrant oranges, pinks and reds. Someone once told me that these bright colors are due to the smog. That may be true, but I think that even smog can sometimes have the facade of beauty.
